美國Roche NimbleGen ? ?
2007年羅氏診斷總裁Severin Schwan表示，NimbleGen的芯片技術能補充羅氏現有的基因組研究隊伍，此次收購是羅氏在基因組研究市場上打下基礎重要策略之一。此次收購計劃將NimbleGen納入羅氏應用科學部。

NimbleGen Systems公司是一家以美國威斯康星為基地的生物技術公司，今年3月在美國證券交易委員會（US Securities and Exchange Commission）首次公開發行股票（ initial public offering，IPO），但未注明確定的日期和開放股票價格（opening share price）。

NimbleGen主要提供了基因組雜交，染色質免疫共沉芯片，比較基因組測序，以及表達分析。羅氏認為NimbleGen的芯片系統“對于羅氏的創新性基因組研究工具平臺，比如LightCycler qPCR系統，以及近期從454生命科技公司獲得的高通量測序系統，具有極高的配合性，能很好的相互補充。”

同時羅氏也表示NimbleGen計劃“在近期內”，擴展高級基因組分析所需要的更高密度芯片，整合儀器系統，以及相關試劑和耗材的產品線。2006年NimbleGen在芯片銷售方面的收入與2005年相比，增加了43%，從950萬美元增加到了1350萬美元。

NimbleGen去年11月從Affymetrix獲得了核酸芯片技術的專利許可，1月又與Oxford Gene Technology簽署了一份有關寡核苷酸芯片IP的專利協議。

NimbleGen的總裁Stan Rose認為，借助于羅氏的國際化銷售及分銷網絡，“將可以加速和拓寬我們高密度的DNA芯片銷售”，并且他也表示這一合并也將加強這兩家公司“有關靶向DNA測序的新技術”。

羅氏同時也表示將保留NimbleGen的140名員工，以及其位于威斯康星的工廠，預計這一收購將于三季度完成。

Established
NimbleGen Systems was established in 1999. The MAS technology is the result of research collaborations between the departments of biotechnology, genetics, physics, and semiconductor engineering at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Roche NimbleGen has the exclusive worldwide license to the MAS technology from the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF).
