GDP-32II多功能電法工作站是一個萬用的、多通道的設備，可采集處理任何類型的電磁或電場數據，具有多功能、大功率、高度計算機化、高精度和強抗干擾能力等特點。系統配備有豐富的數據處理軟件系統，CSAMT反演解釋軟件具有地形校正推斷解釋結果的功能，其二維反演軟件具有世界領先水平，很好地將測量勘查數據轉化為圖形和計算機模型，圖形軟件包可繪制各種數據曲線圖、平剖圖、等值線圖（擬斷面圖、平面圖等）及三維立體圖等。
GDP-32II多功能電法工作站獲取不同地層的電性參數，從其差異性來判定、劃分地質體，查明地下地層的結構及分布情況，能較好地查明探測區深部隱伏的地質構造情況。主要應用于金屬、非金屬礦產勘查、工程地質（大壩、鐵路、公路等）勘查、石油和天然氣勘探、地熱資源調查、地下水調查與監測、煤田地質勘查等勘查領域。其勘查有效深度可達2000余米。
2008年9月4-12日，陜西省地質調查院對引進的GDP-32II多功能電法工作站進行了檢查驗收，并對GDP-32II電法工作站系統涉及的CSAMT、TEM、NanoTEM及IP等方法進行了的野外實際應用測試。同時由香港賽諾技術公司對該系統的軟、硬件操作、解釋軟件等進行了技術培訓，通過培訓相關技術人員已掌握了該系統的軟、硬件操作和相關地球物理數據測試、處理方法，完成了試驗區內各項電法參數測定、成圖、解釋等工作，取得了很好的試驗成果。
