Using its patented PhysioLab technology, Entelos develops dynamic large-scale computer models of human disease. Virtual patients are created within this framework to represent real patient subpopulations. Using a PhysioLab platform, scientists create virtual patients and simulate experiments and clinical trials in silico (in computer) that could take months or years to do in the laboratory or clinic, increasing the productivity of the drug discovery and development process. Entelos currently has PhysioLab platforms available for use by multiple customers in the areas of asthma, obesity, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and cholesterol metabolism.
