Daicel also manufactures (poly) caprolactone and epoxy compounds through oxidation by peracetic acid. Their applications include automobile paint, photogravure ink, urethane, electrical insulation varnish, and food packaging. Additionally, Daicel manufactures and develops bulk actives and intermediates for pharmaceuticals utilizing chromatographic separation and fine organic synthesis technologies, biochemistry, and peptide under the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. Hybrid acrylic emulsion, CEVIAN-A, is used for mortar and slate paint in civil engineering and construction.
